There's a rumble brewing in the Sundance snow.

As we told you earlier, we had the good fortune of running into our fantasy man, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, en route to the premiere of his short film, Sparks. The film stars Carla Gugino and Eric Stolz, is an adaptation of an Elmore Leonard short story about a seductive failed rock star who may or may not have burned her own house down.

Ellen Page has been cast in the forthcoming drama about Laurel Hester, a terminally ill New Jersey police officer who fought for pension benefits for her lesbian partner while battling lung cancer.

The Juno star will take on the role of Hester’s life partner Stacie in the film.

Ellen Page as a lesbian, eh?

We’re not sayin’…we’re just sayin’.

Suffering under the delusion that a soundtrack is a movie, Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist has been done many times before, only better. Back in the 90s, this was a film set in Seattle with lovelorn grunge rockers pouring out their emotions like French Roast to songs by Chris Cornell and Billy Corgan. In the 80s, it was every movie John Hughes made.

The ever adorable Michael Cera (Superbad, Arrested Development, Juno) and Kat Dennings (The 40-Year-Old Virgin) greet fans at Much Music in Toronto where they’re promoting their new movie Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist during the 2008 Toronto International Film Festival.

The film stars Michael and Kat as two people thrust together for one long, sleepless night of musical adventure through New York City as they hunt to find a legendary band’s secret show.

Is there no stopping her? Hollywood’s latest darling, Diablo Cody has another feather in her cap; Showtime has ordered 12 half-hour episodes of The United States of Tara, a comedy by the Oscar-winning screenwriter of Juno.

Toni Collette stars as a wife and mother with dissociative identity disorder. John Corbett (Aiden from Sex and the City) plays her husband.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
