Karate Kid

A casting call for the new, godforsaken Karate Kid remake went out to agents and managers this week with the film’s synopsis attached.

They are not re-inventing the wheel of this one. In fact, it’s pretty direct rip off of the original…except in China instead of Reseda, California.

Ooooo, original.

The breakdown reads:

There is no question that the Karate Kid remake starring Will Smith’s son Jaden and Jackie Chan is an absolutely retched idea.

But what does the OG Karate Kid, the only real star of the series, Daniel Larusso himself, Ralph Macchio think?

He thinks it’s great that the fans of the film, like us, are up in arms over this blasphemy.

Nepotism is alive and well in Hollywood.

Of course, that’s never been a shock but when nepotism mixes with an outrageously bad idea for a remake, that’s when we get up in arms.

Will Smith’s son Jaden is set to star in an upcoming remake of The Karate Kid.

As in “wax on, wax off.” WHY ARE THEY REMAKING A CLASSIC!?!?!?!?

And with a TEN YEAR OLD????
