Last night, Dancing with the Stars had the best group dance to the best performance we’ve ever seen on the show.

Hall and Oates (yeah, Hall and Oates) took the stage to perform their megahit “Maneater” (that’s our jam!) while Karina, Dmitry, Tony and Maks did an 80s inspired, Flashdance-esque group dance that was brillz.

Karina and her Ogilvy home perm were killing it and at the end of the dance, she and Maks came in for an almost kiss that was both very sexy and totally sweet. We audibly awww-ed.

But now for who stays and who goes.

Dancing with the Stars pros Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy are engaged.

Maks popped the question as the clock struck midnight on New Year's between DWTS tour stops in Salt Lake City and Tulsa Oklahoma. Apparently he got Karina a big ol' Harry Winston ring to mark the engagement.

Chmerkovskiy, 28, and Smirnoff, 30, began dating just over six months ago, right after she broke up with Mario Lopez, ending their two year relationship.

Dancing with the Stars pros, Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy spent Tuesday afternoon shopping together in Beverly Hills. Now that Maks’ partner Misty May-Treanor is out due to a ruptured Achilles Heel and Karina’s partner Rocco DiSpirito has been sent packing (just the memory of his white boy mambo sends chills down our spine), these two have nothing but time to spend together.

Karina looks so happy!

Awww, they’re totally in the horizontal tango honeymoon phase. Yay them.

What’s Maks dressed as for Halloween?

A butt-pirate.

Dancing with the Stars pros Karina Smirnoff and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were spotted leaving a club in West Hollywood last night wearing matching pirate costumes and acting very cozy, proving those dating rumors were true.

This photo looks like a preview of what was comin’ later in the night.

Arrr, ya know Maks got all up in that pirate booty until he shivered me timbers and they had to swab the deck before he made her walk the plank of shame home.

Yo ho ho.

Julianne Hough is the latest victim of the Dancing with the Stars curse.

The two-time Dancing champ was taken to hospital after filming last night’s elimination show and performing an encore of her jitterbug with Cody Linley.

Hough had been complaining of stomach pains all day and they only got worse after her performance.

Dancing can be hazardous to your health.

Dancing with the Stars has been a rough place to compete this year. During the first week, Jeffrey Ross suffered a scratched cornea thanks to his partner Edyta Sliwinska’s acrylic nails and Karina Smirnoff twisted her ankle while practicing with Rocco DiSpirito. During the third week, Derek Hough tripped and knocked himself momentarily unconscious the day after Misty-May Treanor ruptured her Achilles Tendon, forcing her to drop out of the competition for surgery and physical rehabilitation.

In June, Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars announced she and Mario Lopez, her boyfriend of almost two years and former DWTS dance partner, had split up over his infidelities with a Hooter’s waitress.

He swore he just loved their wings…we’re guessing he liked the breasts.

Karina Smirnoff of Dancing with the Stars admitted on Chelsea Lately that she and Mario Lopez, her boyfriend of over two years and former DWTS partner, split because he was cheating on her with a Hooters waitress.

Klassy.

“It could have been worse,” she offered. “It could’ve been Divine Brown.”

Slater! What would Zach and Screech have to say? Hooters? Really? Ew.

Said the spokesperson, “The relationship wasn’t heading in the right direction.”

Lopez issued the following statement through his rep: “Karina and I have the utmost respect for each other. She is a phenomenal and talented woman. I support her always and feel blessed to have her in my life.”

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
