Hollywood actress Kelly Preston is to speak out publicly for the first time about the death of her son.

Jett Travolta, Preston's son with husband and actor John Travolta, died suddenly of a seizure at the age of 16 while vacationing with his family in the Bahamas in January.

The Travoltas have so far grieved in private but in October Preston, 46, has agreed to speak about her loss at the California Governor's Conference for Women.

Mourners will gather today at the Ocala, Florida home of John Travolta and Kelly Preston for a private memorial service to honor their 16-year-old son, Jett, who died on January 2nd after having a seizure.

Local florists say they’ve been inundated with calls from well-wishers wanting to send condolence bouquets to the family.

We didn’t send flowers, but we do send our deepest sympathies. Losing a child is unimaginable.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston posted a statement on Sunday thanking fans and supporters for the well wishes which have flooded in since their 16-year-old son Jett’s tragic death in the Bahamas on Friday.

This is too tragic for words.

John Travolta and Kelly Preston’s 16-year-old son, Jett, suddenly died today while on vacation with his family in the Bahamas.

Jett reportedly hit his head in the bathtub causing him to suffer a seizure, which he had a history of. Paramedics attempted to revive him but he was pronounced dead on the scene.

The Travolta family, including their daughter, Ella, 8, was vacationing at their family home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island.

Charlie Sheen and his wife of only three months, Brooke Mueller, are expecting their first child together.

Sheen is probably hoping it’s a boy. He already has three daughters including two, the one positive product of the marriage, with ex-wife Denise Richards, a relationship that ended in only of the ugliest divorces in recent Hollywood history, and it might be better for the baby too.

Both E! and Us Weekly Magazine are reporting that teen queen Miley Cyrus and Mr. Greased Lightnin' John Travolta are planning a duet.

"Johnny may sing [a duet] with Miley," Travolta's wife Kelly Preston told E! at the Step Up Women's Network 2008 Inspiration Awards in Beverly Hills on Friday.
