Basketball star Shaquille O'Neal is going head-to-head with Olympic swimmer Michael Phelps and Wimbledon champ Serena Williams, trying to beat them at their own sport.

The 7-ft.-1-in. player is filming a new reality TV series, in which he faces off with other sports stars, taking a crash-course in his opponent's field before they compete.

Called Shaq Vs. the show will feature boxer Oscar de la Hoya, baseball star Albert Pujols and Olympic volleyball gold medalists Kerri Walsh and Misty May-Treanor, in addition to Phelps and Williams.

Seven-time Tour de France champion and testicular cancer survivor, Lance Armstrong and girlfriend Anna Hansen welcomed a son into the world last night.

“Wassup world? My name is Max Armstrong and I just arrived. My mommy is healthy and so am I!” the all-star cyclist tweeted on Thursday evening.

Armstrong also has three children with his ex-wife Kristin; Luke, nine, and seven-year-old twins Isabelle and Grace.

It's been three years since Lance Armstrong and Sheryl Crow parted ways, but Lance is still explaining his decision to end the relationship.

In a new book entitled Lance, which is due out in July, Armstrong tells the author, John Wilcockson, that Crow's biological clock was to blame for the break-up.

Following in Lance Armstrong's gimpy footsteps, Matt Lauer took a major spill over the weekend on his bike while riding on Long Island and is now laid up and awaiting surgery.

Lauer "was riding his bike over the weekend and he had a run-in with a deer," his Today Show co-host Meredith Vieira explained. "He joked in an email that he thought the deer was hired by the competition."

Lance Armstrong is living strong with a broken collarbone after crashing during a race in Spain.

It was his first race in the country in five years.

Somebody might be missing retirement right about now.

Lance was competing in the first stage of the Vuelta of Castilla and Leon event on Monday when he was involved in a collision. He'll have to have surgery in the next few days to repair the damage but doctors expect him to make a speedy recovery.

Somewhere, Sheryl Crow is crying her eyes out and writing her next single.

Lance Armstrong and his girlfriend Anna Hansen are expecting their first child together.

Good to know that after battling testicular cancer, everything is still in tip-top shape with the one ball he has left. How very Sex and the City, Miranda and Steve.

Tiger Woods, Muhammad Ali, Michael Jordan, Lance Armstrong…

Michael Phelps.

For the first time in the fifty-five years Sports Illustrated has bestowed the title of Sportsman of the Year on an outstanding athlete, this year it went to a swimmer; our future baby daddy, Mikey Phelps.

It’s “not for the victory alone that he is honored. Rather, it is for the quality of his effort and the manner of his striving,” that an SI Sportsman is chosen (we have to ask, is there ever a SportsWoman?).

When we saw these two leaving Bordeaux together last week, we thought, “Hmm, what are they doing hanging out after drinking all night at a club?”

Apparently, each other.

Rumor has it Kate Hudson is dating her childhood pal, basketball star Baron Davis.

Since splitting from husband Chris Robinson in 2006, Hudson’s been involved with Owen Wilson and Lance Armstrong, but not she’s getting some goodlovin’  from Los Angeles Clippers star Davis, who she’s been friends with since she was 16.

You gotta love a man who knows how to shoot and score.

Kate Hudson is a smokin’ smolderin’ mama as she leaves her New York townhouse with a Canon camera, saucy bellbottom jeans, platform heels and a sexy white shirt looking like Lance Armstrong is the last thing on her mind.

Kate is so sizzling, she’s rockin’ a green beanie when Manhattan has been in the 80’s all week with some of that lovely East Coast humidity that lends the air a thick stickiness. It’s like she’s saying, “That’s not hot! I’m hot!”

Like Ivana Trump always said, "looking good is the best revenge".

We thought they’d be living strong happily ever after, but Kate Hudson and Lance Armstrong have ended their relationship of three months.

Sources say "they both decided it wasn't feasible" after their constant bickering and travel schedules proved too taxing.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
