Howard Stern be damned, Gabourey Sidibe has booked her first post-Precious gig.

She will will be a recurring guest star on Laura Linney's new Showtime series, The Big C, about a woman in the Connecticut suburbs living with terminal cancer. Sidibe will be a "smart-alecky" student in Linney's class.

The Golden Globes have long been our favorite of the award shows, mainly because there’s liquor readily available on all the tables so everyone gets trashed and the likelihood of something inappropriate happening gets exponentially higher as the night goes on and the alcohol consumption goes up.

As usual, last night was a mix of highlights (go, Slumdog!) and lowlights (seriously, why is Renee Zellweger still famous?) and here they are...

Monday, 4:26pm, Runyon Canyon, DJ AM, showing no signs of the burn trauma he suffered after escaping the tragic private plane crash that took the lives of four others, hiking up the canyon with a female friend and her Chihuahua. We’re thrilled to report he looked fantastic!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
