Cancer-stricken Patrick Swayze is still battling the effects of his dramatic illness.

New photographs (similar to this one taken in May) of the actor at his New Mexico ranch have surfaced.

They show Swayze in a cowboy hat, jeans and jacket, near his pick-up truck, smiling and very active.

Swayze's cop show, The Beast, was cancelled two days before the photos. It ran for just one season.

Patrick Swayze is planning to write a memoir with his wife, Lisa Niemi.

While early reports claimed the book was going to be an inspirational tome, in The Last Lecture-vein, sources say the book will actually follow the actor’s life including his current fight against pancreatic cancer. The couple met in 1970, when Lisa was 16 and Patrick was 18, and they’ve been together ever since.

No publication date has been set for the book yet.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
