Long have been the days of the red, strapless, sweetheart mermaid gown. It’s a Hollywood classic.

At last night’s Golden Globes, both Kyra Sedgwick (nominated for The Closer) and Eva Longoria (who presented with smokeshow Simon Baker) did their best Jessica Rabbit, Eva in Reem Acra, Kyra in Oscar de la Renta. But who wore it best?

Eva in her skin-tight, pushed up version or Kyra in her Gilda version?

All we’re saying is, somewhere Rita Hayworth is giving Kyra golf claps.

We told you it had to be a major event to get the likes of Martha Stewart, Anna Wintour, Oscar de la Renta, Boris Becker and Forest Whitaker to be seen somewhere as common as Flushing, Queens.

Turns out they were there to see this man play, Rafael Nadal.

Yep, pretty mayjah!

The Wimbledon and French Open champ played against Bjorn Phau of Germany, winning the match (of course) 7-6 (4), 6-3, 7-6 (4).

How can you not cheer for a man this lovely and gifted?

Bow down before the fashion deities!

Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and design god Oscar de la Renta attend the 2008 US Open tennis tournament opening night celebration at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, Queens.

Wintour and de la Renta went borough!

You know it’s an event when fashion’s most fabulous leave the safety of Fifth Avenue and dispatch their towncars to descend on some place like lowly outlying Flushing.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
