Tonight at 8pm, just as the curtains are set to rise, all of the theaters on Broadway will dim their lights for one minute in honor of Paul Newman’s passing.
It’s the Great White Way’s version of tipping a forty to their homie.
Newman premiered on Broadway in 1953’s Picnic and went on to star in four more productions including his last as the stage manager in 2002’s revival of Our Town.
Newman died of cancer last Friday at the age of 83.
