Patrick Swayze has been honored with the Rolex Dance Award.

The Dirty Dancing star has been battling pancreatic cancer since the beginning of 2008 and recent reports suggest he’s close to the end.

The thought of losing Patrick breaks our heart, so he better still be around in November when he’ll receive the award at a gala in New York.

Rolex Watch president Allen Brill says, “It is an honor to present the Rolex Dance Award to Patrick Swayze, one of the most recognizable American actors, dancers, and singer/songwriters of our time.”

Patrick Swayze, one of our all time favorites, has released a statement directed at naysayers and tabloids trying to drive him into an early grave.

“I’m very proud of the work I’ve done on my new series The Beast, and I am happy to be back home for the holidays. It’s a great feeling of accomplishment to say you’re gonna do something and do it,” says Swayze, 56.

Can we get three cheers for how fantastic Patrick Swayze looks?!?!

We saw Patrick last week at LAX as he made his way to the Chicago set of his new TV show The Beast, and he said he was “a miracle.”

From the looks of this photo, taken as the actor got to work on his new show, Patrick’s miraculous recovery continues, and he is winning his battle with pancreatic cancer!!!

We’re ecstatic! Lookin’ good, Swayze!

OMG!

This photo makes us want to cry tears of joy. Patrick Swayze, who we have loved with all our heart from the first moment he arrived at Kellerman’s, was photographed walking through security at LAX and he looks FANTASTIC!!!!!

No joke, we have a lump in our throats and a little mist in our eye.

While Patrick Swayze continues to battle pancreatic cancer at Stanford University Medical Center in Northern California, he took the time to speak about how he’s holding up:

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
