Did anyone else notice something about this week's bottom three on American Idol? Maybe that these were the three people that should have gone instead last week?
We won't linger on this fact for too long because truth be told, the top twelve singers did really bring it during Rolling Stones week.
America really got it wrong last night. But before we get into the negative, let's congratulate the deserving members of the American Idol Top Twelve.

To say that the top ten girls stepped up their game last night on American Idol is the understatement of the year. It really is the girls' year, and the boys better just get out of the way.
The show started with the ailing Crystal Bowersox who showed why she's here in the first place. She sang CCR's "Long As I Can See The Light," and the judges were right on when they said she showed that she's an artist and not just a singer.
Last night on American Idol, we got a surprise. The girls were supposed to perform, but Crystal Bowersox was rushed to the hospital and so they switched to the boys instead. We worried they wouldn't be prepared, but they actually did all right.

American Idol is officially back, as the top twelve girls took the stage live last night for the first time. But the judges were not impressed.
Simon pointed out correctly that a lot of the girls were trying to sound like Duffy instead of actually coming out and being who they are. (The judges did pick these people, so what can we say?)
