Redmond O’Neal has been given a Get Out of Jail Free card.

The question is, does he know what to do with it?

O’Neal, 24, has been given the option of entering Los Angeles county’s drug court program, which would get him out of prison if he stays clean, attends his court appearances and does well in rehab.

That means as long as he stays clean, he can avoid prison.

If he screws up, however, he’s looking at up to four years in jail.

Redmond O’Neal, Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O’Neal’s extremely troubled son, appeared in court yesterday and pleaded not guilty to charges he carried drugs into a California jail.

DUDE! You TOLD the cop you had heroin on you. How is that “Not Guilty”?

Are you pulling the “It wasn’t mine” defense?

Redmond O’Neal was allowed to leave jail for three hours over the weekend to see his mother Farrah Fawcett who is currently battling cancer.

The visit was supervised by a sergeant and deputy who drove him to his mother’s house and then returned him to prison.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
