The world's most dysfunctional family is at it again.

Lindsay and Dina Lohan are fighting back against Michael Lohan's attempts to take control of Lindsay's life (a la Britney and Jamie Spears) by talking to the press and threatening legal action.

Nicole Richie is taking it to the courts!

Richie has filed for a restraining order against a paparazzo named Bam Bam who hit her car earlier this month.

Huh. We can't imagine anyone named Bam Bam ever running afoul of the law...

Our favorite Gossip Girl mom apparently isn't getting any rest during her maternity leave. Kelly Rutherford has been granted a temporary restraining order against ex-husband and father of her two children, Daniel Giersch.

Even though Chris Brown did the crime, he won’t be doing any time (in a cell).

The 20-year-old hot-tempered singer was sentenced to five years probation and 180 days community labor for beating and choking his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna.

He is also ordered to complete a one year-anti-domestic violence program.

We'd agree that a little distance in order.

Terri Seymour, the ex-girlfriend of American Idol judge Simon Cowell, who was assaulted after the Idol finale by a woman who was angry about Simon fake-choking fellow judge Paula Abdul earlier in the season, has taken out a restraining order against her attacker.

That's probably a good call. Stay safe, Terri!

Britney Spears’ former friend and attempted handler Sam Lutfi has been ordered to stay away from Spears for three years.

The restraining order was granted to Spears’ conservatorship (aka: her dad, Jamie who has stepped up in a big way) after the court deemed Lufti to be interfering with Britney’s ongoing recovery.

Lufti is banned from coming within 100 feet of Spears, her children, her ex-husband Kevin Federline, her parents or any other family members. He is also forbidden to attempt to contact her or her family via phone, mail or email.

What about Twitter?

We can't imagine why anyone would ever want to take out a restraining order on this guy.

Britney Spears' ex-boyfriend, Adnan Ghalib, whom the Spears family has taken out a restraining order against, is now under felony investigation for running over the process server who was serving him the restraining order papers.

Britney Spears’ father, Jamie, has secured a restraining order to protect his daughter and family from her former “manager” Sam Lutfi and paparazzi ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib.

Kirsten Dunst has won a permanent protective order against Christopher Smith, 25, a fan who showed up at Dunst’s Hollywood home professing a “spiritual connection” with her.

Dunst was granted a temporary restraining order against Smith in November that he failed to obey.

The order forbids Smith from coming anywhere near the actress, her personal assistant, her residences and places of business. He is also barred from owning or possessing a gun.
