This…is…HOLLYWOOD!

300 star Gerard Butler has been charged with criminal battery after allegedly beating up a photographer last year.

According to court documents, Gerry got into a tousle with a paparazzo outside the premiere party for Guy Ritchie's film RocknRolla at Crown Bar in Hollywood. He is accused of attacking the photog and punching him in the mouth.

Representatives for the actor insist the photographer was stalking the star.

Butler is due to be arraigned on June 10th in a Los Angeles court.

Get out your lighters and your acid-wash.

Last night, we went with our girl Heidi to the premiere of Anvil! The Story of Anvil, a brilliant documentary by Sacha Gervasi about Anvil, a band dubbed the demi-gods of Canadian metal, credited with influencing bands like Metallica, Anthrax and Slayer, but who after 13 albums are still scraping to get by.

The premiere was in Hollywood at the Egyptian Theater and was a poopoo platter of who’s who.

Where are you going to find Chris Jericho and Dustin Hoffman in the same room?

Jamie Campbell-Bower, who appeared in RocknRolla and Sweeney Todd, has been cast as one of Dakota Fanning’s Volturi vampires in the Twilight sequel, New Moon.

The 20-year-old, who will play Caius, has said he begins filming his role in June. He joins Fanning and Canadian model Noot Seear as Twilight newbies.

Get ready to be hella rich and crazy famous, Jamie.

Guns, gangsters and Guy Ritchie: three G’s that guarantee a good time.

After Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, you know to expect when you buy a ticket to a Guy Ritchie film (if we politely ignore that whole Swept Away debacle) and he doesn’t disappoint. RocknRolla is a flashy, violent, hard driving dive into an unexpected seedy side of London: the real estate market and its many denizens trying to get rich quick by any means necessary.

This is a big weekend for Mark Strong. Both RocknRolla and Body of Lies open today and feature outstanding performances by Strong. As American audiences begin to take note, Leonardo DiCaprio, his Body of Lies co-star, practically gushed in his praise of the English actor while promoting their film.

“He was one of the last people to be cast in the film,” DiCaprio explains. “I think [Mark] was taken aback by the sleazy, 70s suits he had to wear and the cheesy attire he had on,” Leo says, laughing, “but he jumped into the role full force.”

Aaaaaahhh!

What is dangling between Thandie Newton’s legs?

Arriving at last night’s RocknRolla premiere in London, Thandie wore a dress that was a cross between Nancy Kerrigan’s 1992 Olympic ice princess ensemble and a horrible droopy, saggy, Greco-Roman diaper.

Make it stop!!!

Unless she’s inviting some friends over to jump rope with her in that thing, she should be ashamed. How could she possibly have thought this was attractive??? Barf!

Guy Ritchie and Madonna arrived at the world premiere of Guy's film RocknRolla at the Odeon Leicester Square in London trying to be picture-perfect people. They failed.

What do you see in this photo?

We’re no body language expert here’s what we notice:

-Those smiles are so fake and forced, they look like they’re about to pull a muscle.

The Pervy Piven returns home solo from a Starbucks run this fine, sunny weekend.

Jeremy won’t be alone for long; he and the boys of Entourage return to HBO for their fifth season on September 7th and we can’t wait. Then, on September 15th, Piven may be taking home his third Emmy in a row for his portrayal of Ari, the agent with a light saber tongue.

Is their entire marriage a sham?

300 star Gerald Butler attended a press conference for his new film, the Guy Ritchie directed RocknRolla at Comic Con yesterday.

Gerry, along with his co-stars, Jeremy Pervy Piven, Ludacris, Idris Elba and director Guy Ritchie spoke on panel about the film which is due in theaters on Halloween.

Guy took the time to address the speculation about his eminent divorce from Madonna. He said everything is going well in his marriage, “As far as I'm aware of.”

Mmmm…we’re not convinced.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
