Selena Gomez just landed a new gig, and it's one that will have her helping kids instead of entertaining them.

Gomez, the 17-year-old star of the Disney Channel show Wizards of Waverly Place, has been appointed to the role of UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, the youngest person ever to hold the title.

As a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Children's Fund, or UNICEF, Gomez will “use her voice, recognition and commitment to children’s issues to fund raise and educate” on behalf of the Fund.

Move over Miley!

Disney star Selena Gomez will release her debut album Kiss & Tell next month but won't be talking about her love life on the record.

The 17-year-old, who will release her debut album on September 29, said: "It's fun pop rock, and it has a dance beat to it. I've been working on it for two years, so let's hope that it's good."

However, Gomez denied that the title of the album means she will be talking about her personal life in the tracks' lyrics.

Peek-a-boo.

We see you.

Rumored couple Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez were snapped leaving their Vancouver hotel and heading to dinner with Lautner’s father yesterday.

Taylor is in town shooting the Twilight sequel, New Moon, while Selena is shooting Ramona and Beezus.

Don’t be shy, kids.

Ah, young love.

Taylor Lautner, 17, has been spotted taking Disney darling Selena Gomez, 16, on dates around Vancouver.

Adorable!

And to make it even cuter, they’ve been chaperoned.

On Saturday night, Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards were handed out at the Pauley Pavilion at UCLA.

And the winners were…

Not Chris Brown.

But here are the winners...

She may have stolen our darling Miley's man (he's got poodle hair, girls! Run away!), but even we have to give fashion credit where it's due. Selena Gomez looks amazing in this blue, off-the-shoulder dress that she recently wore to the 23rd Annual Imagen Awards; the draping is fantastic, and the black and blue flowers on the shoulder work without making her look like a frumpster.

Her outfit would have been a ten if it weren't for her fugly shoes. It looks like she has gold and white Dixie Cups on her feet. WTF?

Nick Jonas recently filmed some scenes for the upcoming Jonas Brothers 3-D concert movie in New York’s Central Park.

Mr. Top Hat has been at the center of the Miley-Cyrus-Hates-Selena-Gomez drama ever since it was revealed that Nick and Selena are dating. It’s Nick’s first publicized relationship since Miley, a two year partnering that inspired Cyrus’ song “7 Things”.

We were thinking about it, and realized that this is the same thing that happened with Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan back in 2003 when they were duking it out over Aaron Carter.

Is this the tramp Miley Cyrus was talking about in “7 Things” when she sang, “You love me, you like her...”?

According to Rolling Stone’s new cover article about the Jonas Brothers, Miley’s ex, Nick Jonas, is dating Disney star (and some say Hannah Montana successor) Selena Gomez. That skank!

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
