The Green Hornet is getting one step closer to making it to a theater near you.
Taiwanese singer and actor Jay Chou has been cast as Kato, the sidekick to Seth Rogen's Green Hornet. Hong Kong actor Stephen Chow was originally slated to fill the role made famous by Bruce Lee in the 1960s TV series, but he dropped out earlier this year.
"Jay is incredibly unique and charming and fights like a wild dog," the film's director, Michel Gondry said.
Seth Rogen is perhaps the least likely leading man to come down the pike since Dustin Hoffman and much like Hoffman in Midnight Cowboy, just three years after his star began to seriously rise, Rogan choose to take on a leading role which casts him in an entirely unlikable light with his new film Observe and Report.
If your idea of funny is watching a fat naked man with an inverted stump of a penis run through a mall in slo-mo to The Pixies “Where is My Mind” (aka: the song from the end of Fight Club), then Observe and Report is for you.
If obnoxious, repellent characters, overblown performances, nonsensical writing and the F-bomb ever other word gets you off, we can tell you exactly where to spend your hard earned money this weekend.
If you enjoy one note performances that drone on for hours, we have the movie for you.
Seth Rogen is plotting his own demise.
His new film Observe and Report is terrible, his shtick is wearing super thin and now he’s announced he hates children.
Rogen admitted he’s thrilled his promotional duties for the animated film Monsters vs. Aliens are over because he was sick and tired of dealing with pint-sized fans.
"I say they should have a support group: Blonde Girls Forced to Have Sex with Seth Rogen. Sorry you’re in there now, Anna [Faris]."
