We know it seemed like the big film awards show season just ended (Don't forget the Emmy Awards tonight!), but there's already a new Best Picture favorite.

Freida Pinto and Dev Patel have finally stepped out as a couple at a London outdoor screening of their Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire.  This was their first public appearance together after Dev's mom outed their relationship to the press a few months ago.

Teens today are all about movies that suck.

Blood, that is.

Twilight is the film to beat at this year’s MTV Movie Awards.

The tale of teenage vampire love is up for seven awards while Oscar-winning Slumdog Millionaire received six nominations.

Great, we get to watch Kristen twitch, fidget and mumble her way through an unappreciative acceptance speech.

Dev Patel and Freida Pinto, the stars of Slumdog Millionaire, have been denying they’re a couple since the film opened, and the world saw just how cozy they are in real life.

No need to deny it any longer, they’ve been outed by Dev’s mother, Anita.

Smooth moves, mom. We’re sure they’re stoked on the publicity.

Anita told the UK’s Daily Mirror, “First it was the film and now everything else seems to have slotted into place…Life can’t get any better for [Dev]. Freida is really beautiful, and I am really happy for them.”

The father of the youngest girl from Slumdog Millionaire, Rubina Ali, was arrested last night after he reportedly tried to sell his daughter for several hundred thousand dollars.

The police were notified of his plan by his ex-wife.

Ali’s father, Rafiq Qureshi, 36, is allegedly trying to cash in on his daughter’s success playing little Latika in the Oscar-winning film.

Sin Nombre, the winner of both the Directing Award and Excellence in Cinematography Award at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival, is a harrowing, haunting tale of unexpected beauty. The film explores the desire for love and trust, the meaning and yearning for the comfort of family, both actual and chosen, and how far human beings are willing to go in the hope of creating a better life for themselves and those they care about.

When you’re good, you’re good.

Hot off his Oscar win for Slumdog Millionaire, everyone wants a piece of Danny Boyle and that includes the most prestigious film franchise in history.

British newspaper The Sun reports that Boyle is being wooed to direct the 23rd Bond film.

Boyle and Bond, that’s in it to win it.

We likey.

Salman Rushdie, who was born in Mumbai, the setting of Best Picture winning Slumdog Millionaire, has written a scathing critique of the film for Britain’s Guardian newspaper.

In the article, published on Saturday, he calls the idea of a boy winning the top prize on India’s version of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire “a patently ridiculous conceit, the kind of fantasy writing that gives fantasy writing a bad name.”

He said that the idea that the boy could have learned all of the answers solely through life experiences is a “beggar’s belief.”

They weren’t just in the Oscar-winning movie Slumdog Millionaire, but now the two actors who played young versions of Latika and Salim are being moved from their home in the slums of Mumbai.

Rubina Ali and Azharuddin Ismail were plucked from obscurity by moviemaker Danny Boyle, paid $725 and $2,465 to appear in the film (a year’s salary to some in Mumbai) and had a trust established in their names and now new homes have been provided for Ali, Ismail and their respective families.

Slumdog Millionaire director Danny Boyle took his Indian cast, in town for the Oscars, to the Santa Monica Pier on Tuesday for fun and games.

Who cares about your eight Oscars when there’s Skee Ball and bumper cars to be had?

Madhur Mittal, who plays Salim, the older brother of Dev Patel’s Jamal, was seen beaming ear-to-ear and clutching his teddy bear booty.

Adorable.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
