American Idol may be replacing Paula Abdul with Posh Spice, at least temporarily, but that doesn't mean the "Straight Up" singer is likely to disappear from your TV screen any time soon.

Abdul is proving more popular than ever since leaving Idol, with both ABC execs and So You Think You Can Dance's Nigel Lythgoe wooing her with job offers.

Paula may return to her dancer and choreographer roots to serve as a judge on SYTYCD, which is basically the dance equivalent of Idol.

This is MAJOR.

With the news that American Idol is losing Paula Abdul confirmed, the show is left lacking in pop star power. Enter a Spice Girl.

Victoria Beckham will be guest judging an episode of American Idol. She won't be sticking around permanently though, as she's focusing on her new fashion line.

Alex Da Silva thinks he can do a lot more than dance.

And his heinous ass is in jail now because of it.

The 41-year-old So You Think You Can Dance choreographer and performer was arrested on Saturday on four counts of sexual assault.

The alleged attacks took place between May 2003 and March 2009, though police believe there may be more victims.

According to the LAPD, all of the victims were his students at the time. Da Silva is accused of luring them to his homes in North Hollywood and Van Nuys, California, and raping them.

How repugnant.

Last night, Dancing with the Stars returned with new pros, including Chelsie Hightower, who we loved on So You Think You Can Dance, new stars and a whirlwind of excitement surrounding the new season…that is, unless you were Karina, who looked miserable and defeated from the moment the show started. We don’t need to see Steve Wozniak dance to know they're destined for the bottom two. He’s a big old white dude. They always land in the bottom two.

Beyonce filmed a video for her upcoming “I Am…” world tour in TriBeCa on Sunday wearing a dress we’d love to say we dug…but we just can’t.

What we do dig is former So You Think You Can Dance contestant Danny Tidwell standing next to Beyonce!

Beyonce hits the road on tour this spring.

Dancing with the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba has split from her boyfriend of two and a half years, dancer Artem Chigvintsev. (Pictured here in happier times last May.)

Inaba, 41, met Chigvintsev, 26, several years ago when he was competing on So You Think You Can Dance. The two began dating in 2006.

Inaba claims the breakup was amicable (aren’t they always in the press) and that the two will remain friends.

Lewis Carroll’s famous nonsense verse Jabbawocky warns, “Beware the Jabberwock, my son!”

Did he mean to say, “Don’t get next to that fire because you’ll get burned?" If he was talking about the JabbawockeeZ, we think he was.

We just got word from a very reliable source that Canada’s So You Think You Can Dance, which is heading into its second season, might have a new host soon, one who’s being groomed for the big time.

The show is currently hosted by MuchMusic VJ Leah Miller but, from what we hear, it looks like American SYTYCD season two contestant Joy Spears (no relation) could be taking over the microphone and, if things go well enough, heading south.

The couple invited back for this week’s encore was Warren, or, as Bruno calls him, Mr. Big Fun, and Kym to perform their 007 Tango.

Back in the red room, Julianne Hough, recovered from her appendectomy, thanked Edyta for stepping in. “You’ve done an incredible job and I really mean that,” she said, with an underlying air that perhaps the two had some previous tension between them. “We’re all one big family here,” Samantha Harris gushed while Julianne made a face. What’s up with that Lady Bird?

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
