It's been a big week for Taylor Swift. First she did double duty on SNL as host and musical guest, and then last night she won Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Entertainer of the Year at the CMAs. Kenny Chesney had been the reigning champ of the latter for four years straight. Go Taylor!

Luckily she has a good sense of humor about her, uh, previous awards show run in.

Do you think it's cute or annoying to date someone with your same name? With the Taylors (Lautner and Swift), it's cute for now, but they could easily move into annoying. The two are pretty over-exposed, but not in a way that bothers us for some reason.

Just when we thought the Kanye West-Taylor Swift-VMAs drama was dying down, another celebrity has chosen to weigh in.

Why is Kanye West such an idiot? We really can't begin to answer that question, but last night at MTV's Video Music Awards he brought out his antics to a new low.

Taylor Swift has some sizzling, hot memories of Independence Day.

The up-and-coming country pop sensation wrote on her blog over America’s birthday weekend, "I love Sparklers. They're sparkly. I love sparkly things. And glitter.”

“Anyway, story time: When I was younger, I was always that little kid who would run around picking up used sparklers off the ground and I would inevitably pick up the SCALDING HOT BURNING end that was still smoldering. Then cue the screaming 'bloody murder' in front of everyone and running into the house to ice your hand.”

Long gone are the days of country music’s commitment to Aquanet bangs, French braids, bedazzled denim gowns and blue eye shadow.

At Sunday’s Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, Carrie Underwood, Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift walked the red carpet looking absolutely stunning, each wearing a beautiful one-shouldered dress.

Taylor picked a vibrant red Angel Sanchez gown, Carrie arrived in a delicate pink Randi Rahm goddess dress and Miley choose a bejeweled Monique Lhuillier number.

Last night Carrie Underwood became only the seventh woman to be named ACM Entertainer of the Year since the show began in 1970.

The last time a woman won the award was eight years ago when the Dixie Chicks picked up the 2001 honor.

Taylor Swift, that’s who.

The reigning princess of country music came to give her bestie Miley Cyrus support at last night’s Hannah Montana: The Movie premiere at the El Capitan.

And she looked absolutely flawless.

From the hair and makeup, to her adorably chic Naeem Khan cocktail dress, right down to the delectable bows on her Christian Louboutin heels, Taylor doesn’t just get golf claps, we’re giving her a standing ovation!

Bellissima.

Zac Efron arrives at the Australian premiere of his new film, 17 Again, in Sydney on Tuesday night.

We love it when Zac-y Pooh cleans up, ditches the beanie and goes all high-octane with the full-on suit-tie action.

Randomly, Taylor Swift showed up on the red carpet as well.

We love Taylor but her African queen-meets-alien virgin bride dress is bugging us.

Which is the perfect excuse for us to go back to ogling Zac.

Drool.

Last night’s Grammys was a mix of good (T.I. and JT bringing all that baby daddy goodness to one performance), the bad (when is Katy Perry’s fifteen minutes of one-hit wonderfulness going to be up?) and the ugly (Natalie Cole, we need to talk).

U2 kicks things off with “Get On Your Boots” accompanied by a jumbotron with their lyrics. “It’s Karaoke. Alright!” our friend Natalie enthuses. We lack her keenness. The Edge is still jamming but the boys aren’t in Joshua Tree anymore. They’re starting to really show their age.

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
