Desperate Housewives stars Lily Tomlin and Kathryn Joosten are in talks to star in their own spin-off show.

The pair, both 69, who play scheming sisters Roberta and Karen McCluskey, are negotiating a deal with ABC that would give their Housewives characters their own show.

According to the New York Post, the show is being modeled after The Golden Girls and ABC is trying to convince Housewives creator Marc Cherry to take the helm.

Lily Tomlin is something inspired by The Golden Girls?

Thank you for being a friend, Bea.

Flirting with Robert Buckley

Once upon a time, Lifetime was just our one-stop-shop for Golden Girls reruns and TV movies that were the adult equivalent of an after-school special. These days, Lifetime is revamping. They're the new home of Project Runway (holla!) and they've upped the ante on their film fare. With great pleasure we invite you to enjoy the trailer for Flirting with Forty, premiering December 6th, starring Heather Locklear and Robert Buckley in all his half-naked glory!

In honor of Estelle Getty, Lifetime will air a Golden Girls marathon on July 25 from 12-5 pm. Getty, who played Sophia Petrillo on the sitcom, died yesterday at her home in Los Angeles at the age of 84.

The 10 episodes airing will be Sophia-centric and will kick off with the series’ pilot.

It’s a dark day.

Emmy winning actress Estelle Getty, best known for playing Sophia Petrillo on The Golden Girls, has passed away at the age of 84. Getty suffered from Lewy Body Dementia.

In her honor, don your best caftan today, enjoy a cannoli and spend a few moments asking yourself; if you threw a party, invited everyone you knew, who would the biggest gift be from and what would the card say. Then call that person and say “Thank you for being a friend.”

F. Gary Gray's latest effort, Law Abiding Citizen, starring Jamie Foxx and Gerard Butler, is a knockout! Exhilirating, wry and breathcatchingly paced, it's a stellar accomplishment for everyone involved. Hell yeah you should see it!

Scott Hicks, the director of Shine, and Clive Owen teamed up for this gloriously beautiful if underwhelming project. It's not that it's bad, it's just not that memorable and with such supreme talent attached, I was hoping for and expecting a lot more.

Oh, Diablo Cody, why'd you have to do it? I love you so long...and then you made this. Megan Fox does what she always does, she looks hot. At least there's that. Sophmoric, unfunny and obsessively idiosyncratic, it's a painful movie going experience.

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable. World's Greatest Dad is a fantastic dark comedy (very dark) that features Robin Williams' best performance since Good Will Hunting. See it!
