Rapper T.I., real name Clifford Harris, Jr., was sentenced in an Atlanta courtroom yesterday to a year and a day behind bars following his October 2007 arrest, when he was caught attempting to buy an arsenal of guns from an undercover FBI agent.
The sentence is part of a plea deal T.I. arranged that required him to complete a total of 1,500 hours of community service, pay a $100,300 fine and serve 366 days in jail for the crime. Without the deal, he was facing more than four years up the river.
With good behavior, T.I. could be free in just ten months.
He’s been ordered to voluntarily report to jail by May 19th.
Good luck, T.I. We’ll catch you on the flipside.
