True Blood is a True Winner

HBO has some fresh blood.

The second season of True Blood premiered on Sunday night and had 3.7 million viewers, the highest ratings for premium cable since the finale of the The Sopranos, according to Nielson Ratings.

The HBO original series centers on the integration of vampires into everyday life with the invention of synthetic blood. And there is one girl in particular (Anna Paquin) who falls in love with her 173-year-old blood sucking neighbor. Of course, not everyone is onboard with making nice with the vamps.

Haven’t  we heard this before?!

Chocolate and peanut butter. Spaghetti and meatballs. Bobcat Goldthwait and profanity. Two great tastes that taste great together. Gone is the Bobcat of the Police Academy movies and in his stead is a fantastic writer-director who's able to orchestrate the most brilliantly, hilarious vulgarity imaginable.
