'American Idol' Gets Posh

With the news that American Idol is losing Paula Abdul confirmed, the show is left lacking in pop star power. Enter a Spice Girl.

Victoria Beckham will be guest judging an episode of American Idol. She won't be sticking around permanently though, as she's focusing on her new fashion line. 

Posh will also fill Paula's role as the nice judge. "'I want to be nice to people. I know how it feels to be stood there and be judged and how it can feel when nerves get the better of you," she told the UK's Daily Mail. "I don't want to shatter anybody's dream. But at the same time, there's nothing wrong with a little bit of constructive criticism." 

Does anyone remember when she guest judged on Project Runway?  We're hoping she has what it takes to stand up to Simon.
